Words for Difficult Times

This morning, I ran across a little pamphlet Sis. Pettit sent to me a couple of months ago. We had been talking about my miscarriage, and she took the initiative to send me this little booklet that so gently spoke to my loss. I'm so grateful to have friends that care deeply. I want to be that kind of friend. I did a little search on google and found a really nice blog that is designed to give guidance in words of comfort. If you are a pastor's wife, or anyone who needs to show support to a friend in need, I have listed the link on my sidebar. Just click on the smaller version of this picture of Jesus, it should take you directly to that blog. May God bless you richly as you strive to show His love. This picture was sent to me from a dear friend who did not necessarily know just how much it would mean to me. I have 2 little ones in heaven, and this is exactly how I picture them to be right now! I intend to keep my focus on Jesus and someday, soon, we will all be together again!

  1. Thanks for the great link. I will add it to my favorites. Through the sadness, there is something very precious about having children on the other side. I pray daily for an unbroken circle.
    Love ya, Karen

  2. Hi Connie! The recipe is very simple really. It has a lb. of liver, an tsp of garlic and a box of cornbread mix, like Jiffy mix. Blend up the liver until it's mush, add the garlic and cornbread mix and dump it on a pan about an inch thick. let bake 20-25 min. and it's good to go....what a smell!!:)My dog loves the stuff!! Enjoying your blog--,keep up the good work...:)Trisha

  3. I came across your blog from Amanda's blog. She is my cousin. I just felt like you should know how very sorry I am for your loss. I have never suffered the loss of a life through miscarriage but I do have a two year old little boy who is in heaven. Our loss came to us on July 18th,1996.It was an accidental drowning in our pool. Our lives have been forever changed. my prayers are with you.

  4. Connie,
Your post brought tears to my eyes. Thank you for opening yourself up and letting us touch your scars. You know, Jesus did the same thing with us and through it all we are healed. I am thinking of my two miscarriages and knowing that someday there will be a precious reunion.
    Love ya, "heart friend"!
